Your issue seem less with God as a concept and more with the God of the Bible… which is to say, you have a problem with God if what is attributed to God in the Bible is actually God’s doing.

Forgive me, but aren’t you putting a bit too much trust in the Bible or rather the people who wrote it? Or maybe it’s how people misuse it?

I wonder what you would think of God if you knew nothing of the God of the Bible.
