I respectfully disagree. When read aloud, the rhyme (yes, I did intend for it to rhyme), has a steady meter and rhythm.
The rhyme structure is AAA, B, CCC, B and it even uses almost exactly the same number of syllables for each matching line. Can’t make it much more technically accurate than that.

But hey… I can’t take credit for it. I flogged the rhyme and meter pattern from Rudyard Kipling (who happens to be one of the greatest poets ever). His poem that uses the same rhyme structure is called ‘The Prodigal Son.’ Feel free to Google it. I’m sure you’ll see the similarities.
