Catherine, I, for one, am very glad for the social progress we’ve made towards equality. But, you can’t look at an ancient story written five millennia ago and judge them with modern sensibilities. Our worldview is not their worldview. They did what made sense to them, the same as we do.

Besides, there were no daughters in this story!
